Hi Norma I will try to answer your question correctly.. The ring is real 14kt {LAYERED} gold. with 140 mils of thickness. The diamonds are perfect LAB created {not mined.} The description that I used above is the exact wording that accompanied the ring when purchased. When looking at this ring with the naked eye, it has the appearance of a ring worth thousands of dollars. But realistically, you should not expect layered gold jewelery to hold up to daily use or wear. Thanks Doug

Very nice ring Doug, and thanks for being so honest to bidders about gold plating, I have been dealing jewelry for many many years and I see sellers on here try and tell bidders that gold plated i real gold and it isnt, it is a thin layer of gold over layed bt the thickness of the layering makes a big big big difference..
Oh and may I add that if you dtore it properly and if you get it wet dry it asap, it will stay beautiful a long long long time..
Watching this one closly and maybe bidding closer to end,not hubby's size too small.
