LOST/STOLEN PACKAGE SYDROME: "Item didnt arrive. It musta' got lost" Sorry folks, that is NOT something I buy into!! Having sold online since 1999 on 11 different sites & having an online business since 2001, the whole "package lost" is a card thats been overplayed. Ive shipped THOUSANDS of packages with such little incident. For some reason, Listia (some users) seems to be the site where packages miraculously get lost or stolen. Having worked closely with the PO for years, even they have advised me how SMALL the percentage is of "lost" mail. Please be advised, I will DEFEND myself to the fullest should a dispute arise due to the "Lost/Stolen" package gimmick. Sorry, but I need to protect myself.

I have to agree with you on the whole "Lost package deal". I had one person on Listia, since I've been on, that said they never received their package and when I went back and looked a week later at her feedback, she had the same thing for like 3 out of 5 auctions. Somehow I just don't buy that! Good luck on your auction - I'm watching!

Oh absolutely!! I didn't want to add that but Im FED UP with the users who are saying item never arrived-Amazzzzzzing how they receive ever Medical bill, ever phone bill, every bday card & xmas present but some little "free" gift somehow gets eaten, stolen or lost by the leprechauns that haunt the post office boxes!

Natey, be sure to reply using the "reply" link below each comment, otherwise the person who commented never knows you replied. I don't think you get TOO many people lying about receiving packages, but I've found that with some buyers, they live in a bad neighborhood or building and their stuff gets stolen by neighbors. So, they aren't necessarily lying, but it is very frustrating as a seller to have to refund credits PLUS pay for the danged shipping. I hear ya ...

Thanks for the heads up hun. Yeah, I understand about neighbors or what not that unfortunately happens, but as I said Ive been selling since 1999- I can count on 1 hand how many ppl in those yrs have stated they never rec'd their items. I join Listia and its like this massive rish of ppl who claim never to have rec'd their goods. Then U look at their Feedback & its filled w/ the same excuse from other Sellers. I do hope this is something Listia will look into a bit closer for us Sellers as this is something that I have been reading is really discouraging ppl from Selling and/or offering Free shipping. EW, I hear ya, that just sucks. I've only had a few and in the last case I sent her three separate envelopes. She got one, never got the other and the third was returned to me, all with the exact same address/label. I know she wasn't lying about it, but I do the same thing you do, if someone says they didn't get it I check their feedback lickety-split to see if they have any similar feedback.

I also recommend that if you end up with a transaction that ends this way to be SURE to post neutral (at least) feedback so other sellers can see it. It helps if everyone tries to sort out the bad apples, eh?

You go girl!!!! And what about the winners that never contact you or send their address, no matter how many times you message them?? That makes no sense to me. I got a message yesterday from someone I never heard of that said they REPORTED me. I tried to reply to see what I had done wrong but they blocked me. So, I still don't know why I was reported. If I disappear from Listia, it means I got kicked off. I don'y think I did anything wrong. I think I out bid them!!! he, he!!
