I think so too, that's why I had to list it for somebody. This was a gift to me recently, but I have a battery-rub digital timer I really like that I have used forever now, & am used to, so it would have just ended up being kitchen décor for me, so I wanted someone who loved it & would make use of it too... Thanks for commenting... <3
