Up for grabs is this cute iPhone 5 case. It's 3 layers. Cute bubbles for the outer shell and a cute bright green jelly in the middle. I never used it. The seller told me it was for iPhone 5S but it's not so I decided to put it up on here!

No they aren't. If they were this case would have been able to fit my phone and it didn't. Some cases are a but larger so it can fit both phones.

Don't forget the layouts of both of the phones are similar but the iPhone 5S has a slight difference in the camera lens and amber flash. Due to this, the case that I posted doesn't fit the 5S. It only fits the iPhone 5

My daughter has 5s & I have 5 , we switch cases back and forth all the time .. Camera holes may not match up on some cases , but they still fit .. They are exact same dimensions . Your description is just confusing to some when you say it doesn't fit a 5s .. Just making sure it actually fits , cause I like it , that's all .. :)

Like I said some cases can switch from iPhone 5 and 5S. This particular case only fits iPhone 5. It doesn't fit my phone which is a 5S. The green part is like a jelly case. That fits the phone. But the hard cover that goes over it only fits an iPhone 5. It will not fit and iPhone 5S. I tried on my phone and it won't close. This phone case is made only for iPhone 5.

Actually the 5 and 5s DO share that same cases. Even Apple and any provider will tell you that. I have a 5s and I have cases that says it's for either respectfully and the 5 cases fit my 5s just fine. And even on OTTER case boxes it has "for 5 / 5s". And if you go to any site that sells cases, it will tell you the same. The 5 and 5s are compatible with the same cases. It's the 5c that is made differently and doesn't share the same case as the 5 and 5s.

The cut out for the camera on the hard shell part is big enough for both, and the soft inner shell doesn't cover up all the area of the hard shell. It just leaves a green trim around the outer part of the hard shell leaving plenty of space for either cam of the 5 and 5s.
