The listing, RARE! Amarylis Seeds -- you get 5 has ended.
I only have 5 seeds left. But You can have them all.
The pic of the flower is a sample of an amarylis, but is not the mother plant.
Harvested by my father in law, From one of his lucky pink Amarylis flowers that he got to go to seed! I have started a few of these myself and they are quite easy to start.
Just lay the seeds on the surface of some fresh water in a cup and wait until they sprout a little white "tail".
Gently transplant into containers with fresh potting soil, (one per container) planted near the surface. keep moist , and provide bright filtered light. Once they are a few inches and several leaves, transplant to a larger pot. ***Be patient.*** They probably wont bloom for a good long while (3-5 seasons) as the bulb grows to full size. After bloom, cultivate using typical Amarylis bulb care.
***More in-depth info regarding how to start amarylis from seed is available online.
SORRY, I DON'T HAVE A PHOTO OF THE MOTHER PLANT, But most flowering amarylis we buy are hybrids, so the babies wont look too much like the mother anyway.
