Technically it's a tektite, moldavites are green, but tektites can be any color, but they are amazing in that they are a stone or stone debris mixed with whatever they hit from outer space. Rare, unique and one of a kind, like fossils, no two will ever be alike, and they are amazing ancient pieces of cosmic coolness.

technically, Moldavite is a Meteroite that fell in only one place in the world - along the Moldau River in Czechoslovakia. It is GREEN and is incorrectly named as a "black diamond" - it's not black and it is not a diamond. Awesome, intense and quite exquisite - true that no two will ever be alike as each one has it's own uniqueness...

Im not sure, I believe its because its a darker type of tektite moldavite. Not as bright green but people are melting green glass and saying its moldavite..this is deff.moldavite tho. Il fan you :) Thank you ♥
