Check out every single one of these pictures! This is the most AMAZING find ever for me!!! I found this about 3 months ago. I was having a bad day so I decided to go out to the west desert here in Utah and shoot at some cans. We have a tiny town just about 30- 40 miles outside of Salt Lake called (fittingly) Aragonite. Aragonite has just one building I Believe, I have never been close enough to know any better or different. Utah is a brilliant State, we buy the tailings or "nuclear waste, hazardous waste, bio- haz materials and radioactive materials" other States want to dispose of but have no where to do so. So the greedy political idiots that run this place buy it and bury it out in our desert!!! If you've never been through the west desert in Utah, you probably don't have that "inner glow" that we sinners have , who drive through it to go to Nevada to gamble only 90 minutes away!! Just kidding but who knows what crud we are breathing when we get a west wind??? Ok, enough bashing politics....well never enough but
So I was kicking around the dirt even more mad than when I left home because I couldn't hit a can with a bullet if you put it in front of my face that day! So I grabbed my shovel and pick and started walking, and when I hit the ground with my shovel there was a huge rock under it. I was a bit nervous to dig it up cuz (you never know...) I could have landed on the moon
Well I dug and picked and when I got this home, cleaned, cut, shined and polished I was so freaking thrilled it's a chemistry teachers dreamrock!
If you look at the very center you can see millions of geode crystals! The way to tell they are geode is they are all like little tiny shark teeth, all spiked and pointed inward toward the center of the agate or (Aggregate) Surrounding the Geode are a ton of Drusy! Drusy are the bigger more clustered crystals that encase the Geode crystals. I am running out of my 2000 spaces,show me the love bid generously
