Description
The listing, Vintage 1976 Jimmy Carter Campaign Election Peanut Gold Tone Necklace has ended.
Hanging out for 36 years in the bottom of a "treasure box" was this cute necklace. I lucked up and found it at a yardsale this past weekend. The lady I bought it from said she was a helper here in Atlanta on the campaign trail. This was a "knock off" of ones handed out by the actual campaign party. They were sold at Woolworths for $3. She said she wore it daily up until the election and then put it in it's case till she decided to sell it.
I think it is a great piece of history and a cute necklace to boot. Peanut charms are back in style, so be the first on your block to rock an original!

Carter is cool!!! I use to see him jogging over by the Carter Center here in Atlanta all the time. Met him a couple of times and he was always very pleasant.
