The listing, Red Snake Ginger Plant FREE SHIPPING has ended.

I have grown this for about 18 months and I am hoping it will bloom this summer on the porch. I got it from a flower shop I worked at. The large canes grown in tropical conditions are used in floral designs and each segment started to grow a baby. The third picture is my plant and the fourth is the plantlet that you are bidding on. It grows it's leaves in a spiral formation and sends out suckers just below the surface of the soil.

does it have roots already?

It does have some small roots. It is similar to a orchid Kiki ( a baby orchid that develops on the end of a flower stem and usually has roots also)

Yes with age it eventually gets the striped stem.

these look like 2 different plants and is it an indoor plant

It is a tropical plant which means you must bring it in if grown on a patio. Just like most tropical plants they can be a houseplant but go thru a dormant period in the winter with very little or weak growth.

The picture of the flowers is a stock photo of the plant in its natural habitat. Plants always look a but different when grown as a house plant.
