This yarn will come in a mill end bag plastic bag that weighs one pound. There are 10 balls to this bag.

I don't know much about this yarn but believe it is an acrylic/polyester/nylon blend. It is a thin mesh tape or frilly ruffle yarn type. Approx. 3/4" wide unstretched.
Unstretched the yarn is slightly wider than the pennies shown in the picture. This yarn does have a little bit of stretch as ruffle yarn does. The color is shades of green.
