Description

The listing, Loquat tree also know as Japanese Plum tree has ended.

This rooted tree can get 28 ft tall and bears a small pear shaped fruit that is sweet when ripe. Each fruit contains 1 to 5 seeds. The flavor is a mix of peach, citrus, and mild mango. Can eat plain, fermented into wine, mixes well with other fruit and makes good jam or jelly. Loquat syrup is used in Chinese medicine for soothing the throat and in cough drops. Loquat is low in calories and excellent source of vitamin A. Classified as subtropical fruit, loquats are grown most successfully in citrus producing aresa. For ornamental purposes, they can be grown in areas to cold for citrus, but they need heat to mature a crop.

If you live in a cold climate the tree will grow but not bear fruit. It recommends growing the tree in a pot indoors.

Yes. This is what it says Ti makes a good subject for Bonsai, as it is evergreen and grows well in pots if the grower isn't in a hurry.
