im not sure what they are called my mom gave them to me last summer i know she grew them in full sun but im not sure where else they can be grown......sorry i cant be more helpful but i can ask her before the auction is over and let you know then i just want to reply sooner rather than make you wait....thanks for your interest
Those are hydrangea. To get the blue or pink or purplish color, vs the normal white, you need to have an acidic environment by mulching with pine needles or adding acidic fertilizer to the soil.
Prefer full sun and may need staking when larger - bush or prune into a small decorative tree.
Lots of blooms, every long lasting... can easily be dried for a beautiful dry floral arrangement. Fragrant too.
