The lid on this candy dish does have some of the gold overlay peeling off. Its old and was in the family for many years. It belonged to my gram. Should've mentioned it sooner and Im sorry. I'm trying to get use to this whole Listia thing. Again I do apologize for not mentioning it sooner.

Where the gold overlay peeled off, this dish is also white underneath. Wonder if yours ever had the overlay on it and it eventually all peeled off?

Yes, mine is peeling too. I refuse to allow anyone to get near it and it is in a curio cabinet, protected. This one will go beside it, protected from peeling or damage. I have never seen another one like the one my beloved grandmother gave me, so I am thrilled to have found this one!
