Description

The listing, HP DM3z-1100 CTO has ended.

Alrighty then.....with my third auction almost completed I am ready to spread the fun a little more and bless someone with a very nice laptop. :-))
With that being said, I have an HP DM3z-1100 with a 320GB hard drive, 3 GB DDR2 RAM, AMD Turion NEO x2 Dual Core L625CPU (1.60GHz), 13.3" screen and windows 8.1
It runs great and the screen is in great shape. There are a few minor cosmetic issues like the faux chrome flaking, scratches and a couple of the CPU fan exhaust fins broken off. Nothing that takes away from the performance of this nice netbook. It has Webcam (cyberlink software), WiFi, 4x USB 2.0, HDMI, VGA, RJ-45 network port, SD card reader, headphone out and mic in ports.....BUT no DVD drive.
If you can overlook the minor blemishes and remember that it is FREE!!!!! and runs fantastic, you will do good to own this netbook. It is quite nice and also quite fast.
Of all my notebooks/netbooks that I am/will be offering this is the only one that does not have the windows COA on it. I was told by the previous owner that it was purchased via downloadable link through Microsoft. When I got it the hard drive was failing and it took me about 3 hours to download bellarc advisor to recover the COA key, and when I put the new hard drive in and used that key to activate it it worked, so I assume that the original owner was correct. (Just had to put that in there because I like to be up front about everything I do)
Please don't be asking if it has webcam or DVD--It took me a while to type this up since you cannot pull specs up for HP CTO laptops.
It does come with a charger and it needs nothing--but a new owner. Hopefully I answered all of your questions, but if I did not Ask away and I will try to answer them. As usual answers are 16 points, correct answers are 350,000 points and wild guesses are totally free. Good luck and happy bidding.
Since I am still a broke Bi#@h, I am requiring the new owner to cover the shipping at $14.95.

I would have no prob with that. Of course you would have to wait until I received it and cashed it before I shipped(could do both while there). it would probably take a week to ship, but I am OK with that.

I confess that all the spec writing you did is foreign to me. But I look for you auctions, because if anyone seemed trustworthy, it's you. So if you say it,s good. I'm bidding. Oh Yea, Hello

Well Hello, Glenda. (Already a fan). I try to put the specs in there for those who know. If there is anything you would like me to explain about any of the specs I am always willing to do so. With over 200 hundred laptop sales on Ebay last year and a feedback rating of 99.8% I hope I was doing something right! :-) But yeah, I don't offer junk, and if a problem were to develop with a laptop you get from me I am always more than willing to make it right. That is how you make happy customers.

Saving for an i7

Omg. You are awesome. I would have tried for this and then been unhappy. Very unhappy. Cs6 is what I use at home and at work on imacs. I need another computer to use while I clean out and restore my computer in the mean time. If you have the computers you say you have in coming auctions I'll be watching and bidding with everything I've got. Thanks for your honesty. I totally respect you as a fellow listian.

I don't know how you are set on points but my next one is the one you would want. It has an i5 AND a dedicated graphics card (Nvidia GT 310 1gb) I can tell you it won't be going cheap.

Already fanned and watched...just would like to ask if this computer can handle Photoshop without lag and possibly some music editing software. Nothing more. I would plan to use external drive to save photos and music other than regular updates needed on laptop to run efficiently. I was out bidded on another laptop with five seconds to go this past week so now I'm eager to own one. Thank you.

Don't know much about photoshop. I did a little research on the minimum requirements and this probably wont give you what you need. I believe it has the ATI Radeon HD 3200 GPU which it says will run Photoshop in basic platforms. You would do good to find something with at least a 1GB GPU to run it smoothly. Now it would probably handle the earlier versions of PS ok, but if you plan on using CS5 or CS6 then I would advise to get something with a little more oomph in the graphics department.

Yes, Miss Glenda, it is 100% ready to use. It just needs a new home, someone to press the power button and to connect it to the internet.

Yeah. Careful not to get a decent laptop in the hands of people with lots of credits and then drop the i7. Might not have as many bidding. Just a thought :)

Good idea, if it has 6GB of ram and a decent size hdd or a ssd it'll probably go for 450-650k. I just had an i3 750gb, 6GB dell sell for 380k. Cant wait for the i7

It is an Asus A55A-eb71 with i7-3610QM and 8 GB of PC3-12800. I need to get some of my i3's on then. I have an awesome Samsung w i3-2370m that would probably do good--or I was of thinking my Samsung NP-Q430E w/i5-450m +4GB RAM + Nvidia GT310 might be next. That ought to do really well

Could you do one of your highest end models next? What are the specs on the i7 ASUS?
May 3rd, 2014 at 2:12:15 AM PDT by
Original
I am doing them basically, in order. I started with the lowest spec netbook and working my way up--so the i7 would be last. It gives everybody a month or two to save up, because I would expect it to go for about 350K -- 450K.

do you know how old this unit is?
May 2nd, 2014 at 3:09:09 PM PDT by

That was a question: Do you want the free wild guess or do you want to pay the 350,000 points for the correct answer?

Seriously I don't know exactly, but would venture a guess that it is 3-3 1/2 years old. That processor hit the shelves at the end of '09 so I would uess they started using them in laptops around mid to late 2010

I ran into my 2000 word maximum, so I will finish here. On the shipping it covers shipping and signature confirmation and I ship lightening quick. If you win the auction, the faster you pay for shipping, the quicker it will go out. I accept paypal and you can send it to lovedemgators02882012@gmail.com

LOL If I have to ship to Cali, Wa or Or then it costs over $20 to ship + I always add signature confirmation. I think it is very reasonable considering that I am not offering light household knick-knacks. I just put that price as a middle-ground figure. But you "get it" thanks. :-))

Ship to Canada if I pay?
May 1st, 2014 at 2:01:10 PM PDT by

I will check into that. Had one bad experience with laptop I shipped to Canada on Ebay--got stopped and confiscated at border. it was Ebay's fault but I never could get them to tell me what the reason was. I am leery about doing it, but I will check into it b4 the auction ends. If anybody has any info on this please inbox me.

Unfortunately, I have to charge shipping in order to continue "giving my laptops away". Kind of a catch-22. I wouldn't be able to afford to auction these if I had to spend $15-$20 each to ship about ten of them.
