Getting verified is easy, but time consuming. Takes about 30-45 min. It ensures your buyers that Listia has verified that you have an email, phone#, banking through PayPal or whatever, since sometimes a lot of money can change hands. Go to where it says your name, then go to manage your account. Then it will say something like "account verification". I did it on my phone and nothing was in "blue" like you're use to. You want to verify your phone, $ of some kind and I believe an address. You don't have to do all of them. It's been a while since I did it and I'm new to Listia myself. I do know that there are buyers and sellers who will not deal will you if you are not verified. I have gone that route myself because of getting scammed.

Sounds like a lot of hassle. I don't feel comfortable giving another company my bank account information. So far, no money has changed hands so I don't see a reason to give them my information. Target can't even secure their credit card information and this app is really buggy. I've submitted 4 trouble tickets so far for various problems.

You don't half to give paypal your acct information if you don't want but they always ask..you can use an prepaid card if want instead. Or just do a one time transaction for Confirmation then remove your information.

I go through PayPal and only PayPal. Never my bank account.
