Description

The listing, OOAK Royal Odin Blue Crocheted Rune or Tarot "possibles" bag has ended.

I crocheted this several years ago with the intent of it being a rune or tarot bag. It got stashed away with other random craft stuff. Husband found it last week and I think it is time it found a forever home.

The pull cord closing is rainbow colored ribbon that as been braided together. The closure is a large rose bead. (I love roses!) This is made from 4-ply acrylic yarn. I think the yarn is Red Heart brand. This was not made using a pattern, but from my heart. It is one of a kind. I could make another, but it could never be an exact duplicate.

The bag measures about 6 inches tall and about 5 inches across the bottom. It should accommodate many sizes of card decks. It could also be used for a cigarette case or for a smart phone or small e-reader... whatever you feel it would be good for. (That is what buckskinners call a "possibles" bag -- it has endless possible uses.) The third picture with my hand gives an idea of the size. If you need more pics, just let me know.

Any questions, please feel free to ask. I wasn't sure what category to list this under, so I hope it finds an audience.

this may sound a little silly, but is the rainbow strap/ribbon long enough to tie together to make this pouch a little wristlet?

That is actually a great question. I took another look at it. And, yes, even fully open, there is enough ribbon to tie the ends to make a hoop for your wrist. :-)

I make tracheostomy bibs for my wonderful, sweet new husband. If I win this; I would find a way to undo the sides that are crocheted together. I'd use one side for a bib; and part of the 'extra' yarn to create a strap to keep it around his neck. I love making these trach bibs for him! I'm trying to plan a secret project to make a special one for him; and this would save me a lot of time, creating the bib part of it. =))) Have fun with your auction! =D

I hope that works for you. Sounds like a challenging project. Do you crochet? If you would ever like me to help with something, just send a private message. Thanks for bidding. :-)

Hey mamaravyn, no, I have to admit that I don't crochet 'by the book' or pattern, Like you invented the idea for this reticule bag, I invented the idea on how to make my husband's trach bibs. It's not rocket science, and it's fairly easy; but when I try to tell somebody how to do it...we= ll, it sounds more difficult than it really is. LOL =D We were brand-newly married still; and he mentioned to me that the trach bibs that he had were wearing out, and tearing up. First, he wanted me to look it up on the 'Net. I did and pretty much, they seem to have quit making them. Except one brand, and they wanted like $25 for just ONE! I said, NO WAY are we paying that much money for just one bib!!! He giggled and agreed. So, I prayed and asked the Lord, God to Show me a way to make these by crochet; and basically, I've been making them ever since. I will admit, I don't have it perfected; but they are effective for him. And, I..."don't fix it if it ain't broke!" LOL =D I will message you in just a minute. Thanks. =D
