Description

The listing, Devil's Backbone clippings has ended.

So up for bid is 4 clippings of my devils backbone plant. I have some that I have clipped and are started in dirt, or I can pick them straight off the plant for you. Clippings are from 6-8 in long. You can either put them straight in the dirt, or start them in water. I have tried both ways and the easier on in my opinion is straight in the dirt. ((also the quickest))

I live in Michigan. When I had mine we kept it and passed it on as a house plant and it grew very nicely that way.. We didn't have computers in 1971 so I had no way of looking it up for care or anything else and we only knew it was called Devil's backbone because of the zigzag of the stem. But it like all tropicals we turn them into house plants and they do well for those of us "up north"!!!

I love them cause they are easy to take care of, and the uniqueness of the stem!!

Do you know what zone this is hardy to? Would it survive in missouri zone 6?

you would probably have to bring it in during the colder months, but you can pot it, and control it's growth by clipping regularly!!

You can also put these in a clear vase of water and they will grow there too!
