This is a BROKEN gold chain..10k gold..can be fixed I'm sure..Picture shows where it's broken..not the clasp..broken on chain part..might even be able to fix yourself if your handy!!

I believe you are correct if its stamped 10k, then it probably is 10k, however, I am not authority either. But I have learned that these questions need to be ask on listia. Some sellers attempt to deceive in their listings using the descriptive words like Gold, Silver, Diamonds, etc. The Listia Moderators will refund the buyers credits when this type of thing happens. But, it is still a frustration to have to go thru the appeal process. Thanks for your reply. Doug

no problem..I understand too..my hubby got a "great deal" once on a gold chain, they even did this test on it to show him it was real...we took it to have it shortened and it was fake in the middle..so you do have to be careful..I usually know if it's fake it will break my neck out..I am allergic to fake metal!!!

I had thought of such a scam with items that have links, but this is the first time heard of it happening. i bet is a lot more common then we imagine. i know even professional gold dealers get stung occasionally. Some people can be pretty inventive in their quest to steal.

Hi..it's stamped 10k..I would assume if it was plated it would say..but I am not a jewelry expert..just a wearer!! It's all those little links to make up the chain..I wouldn't think it was filled..hope that helps and thanks for looking!
