This is a 1964 SILVER Dime BU. It has great detail and is a Denver mint. All the rods and six points of the flames a crisp. If I didn't know it was circulated I would think it wasn't. FREE SHIPPING in the US.

bu can stand for bullion or in this case he means brilliant uncirculated. Basically means uncirculated coin that is shiny.

I am sorry, the BU SHOULD NOT be there. It is a brilliant shiny CIRCULATED That I got at the bank that was in a roll of dimes.

In the case of BU uncirculated doesn't mean the coin was used as currency. It means that the coin is in "mint state" ms-60 condition. This would be only very very light bag marks on the coin. Silver dimes often are graded harder on this because they rarely receive bag marks. The coin must retain all of it's mint luster for BU status and must have very little distracting problems with the strike and coloring. Also good eye appeal.
