I'm Farley new to this Web site I know it's a bit like e bay but I'm a biz ness man so I'd some one can explain what this ;GIN; is it credit or real money ??
GIN means "Get It Now", so when you see that on an auction, they are giving you the option to get it now. Listia sells 2,600 credits for $5, 6,300 credits for $10. Now once a bid has been placed, the auction is locked, meaning nothing can be changed except for adding more information in the description box. You can't do a GIN until you reach the level where you have earned your 'spreading your wings' badges. After you have gotten those badges the GIN option will appear where you set up your auction in the pricing area. For a case as this, once you are able to provide a GIN, I would put it no less than 15,000 credits. If you have any more questions, just ask. If I can answer them I will do my best to. ...Daric
Also... If you would please get verified. It's very easy to do, just go to listia.com and on the left side scroll down to 'Account Settings'. And click on the sixth in the row which says, 'Verify Your Account'. Having the Facebook & Twitter badges does not mean you are verified, they only mean you have used those two social network sites to sign into LISTIA. To be officially verified, you need the 'Listia has verified my phone number' and/or 'Listia has verified my credit card or bank account' badges. Having one or both of these two badges will in turn give you the 'I am Listia verified' badge. Which will give people confidence in bidding on your items, giving you more credits when your auctions are over! Thanks!
Thanks cirad for saying all of that so I didn't have to. :) Welcome to Listia bronxbomber! I hope you enjoy it here; as you said, it is a little like eBay but, is a little more fun and homey than eBay.
Heh.. Not a problem. Also, Listia protects its bidders. Say if I win an auction and the seller doesn't send me the item I won (which has happened to me several times) after 7 days, which is the number of days the seller has to send the item and the number of days the winner has to provide a verified address, the winner can request a refund of credits from the seller for not sending the item. Which basically is theft. And Listia is VERY strict when it comes to holding up your end of the auction. Listia doesn't take too kindly to those who try to con others. Listia is basically an Honor System type of site. So, it's up to each of us to keep our end of the deal with our auctions. That's why it's best to be verified. That way people can feel more comfortable in bidding on your auctions if you are. You'll do great on here if you put up great auctions, which it looks like you have some goods ones too! Good Luck N have fun! Oh and btw everyone... This case is mine! hehehe
