No it is not stiff, 100% soft cotton. did you see my update? only 1/2 yard. this has been my day to make mistakes. thanks carolyn

Its a super soft cotton, love it. I already have a yard but I need this one to make the backing for my breast cancer quit. Can't wait to get it. Thanks so much for finding this!! <3
