Yes there's 40 rhinestones. And yes they work pretty well. I just used them once for a girl's night out.

There's just the one strip with 40 rhinestones on it. So when you apply them you cut it into smaller strips to make them easier to apply. Mine lasted a day because I took them off but it says they can last up to 10 days with regular shampooing.
