Description

The listing, Popcorn Hour A-110 Network Media Streaming Box has ended.

The Popcorn Hour Network media streaming tank! Plays every media file available, Netflix, Hulu plus, and more. I used this box hooked to my home network and used it to steam my digital home movie collection. I have installed a 500 gigabyte hard drive, which of course you can upgrade if you want. The popcorn hour doesn't ship with an internal hard drive ( it has room for a hard drive that you can install of you want, as I did ), so now you can store movies or music on the popcorn hour itself and also stream from your network. It also has a USB port which you can plug in thumb stick drives, or external USB hard drives. I used it with my home network hooked to a Western digital network attached storage (NAS drive) that is 8 Terabytes. Streams perfect 1080p blu-ray digital format, 720p, 480p, DiVX, MKV, MP4,MPEG1/2/+,MP3, and so many more with ease.

Similar to a roku, western digital live TV box, Amazon fire, etc.

Comes with original box, instructions, HDMI cable, power cable, A-110 Series Popcorn hour, and installed 500GB hard drive.

Also, the popcorn hour is great for modders and customizers. You can theme and skin the interface, and install many apps and games, etc.

Great auction!
I have a 12 month Hulu Plus gift card for sale that would go great with this.

It gets netflix, hulu, etc. Basically that or what you put on it. I converted my dvd collection to digital format so I could stream throughout my home.

They are going for about $80 on Amazon and eBay because it is 1 of their older models but with the hard drive, it should be valued at $100-$120. I think a lot of people would rather have wireless tho regardless of the speed decrease. I'll keep bidding what I can. :)

It OK.. I know it's an older box but it's still in great shape. It has a brand new remote too that I got before I stopped using it. Regardless, I hope it goes to a good home. Thanks!

Wow thought this would bring a higher bid since it retailed for almost $200 shipped, not including the hard drive I put In it. Is it because I'm a new member or listia isn't a good place for stuff like this?

Just to show you what you can make this thing do, look at this

It does take some work to get there, but once done, WOW.

It doesnt have built in wifi, but it supports a wifi "dongle" that you can search the web for and pickup.

However, i would advise against that if at all possible. Large films in HD format, such as a blu-ray rip in .mkv, will suffer over wifi unless you have the newest and most top of the line stuff out today. And even then, its no guarantee.

I myself try to go hard line and have done so throughout my home, even though i have everything on my network up to Wifi-N standards. I do want to upgrade, but i dont really -need- it.

Hope that answers your question.

Did you have to pay per movie? And can it get TV series as well?

I personally have never used it as an offline hard drive, but the device can be read and wrote to when hooked up to your area network just like any other hard drive. You do not have to have internet to use this, you can hook it to your home network and router (actually designed for that) and move files to and from, and also place files on for the rest of the users on your home network to use (stream) with devices like xbox 360, ps3, smartphones, laptops, tablets, and anything else capable of playing music or movies.

I dont know how to verify my account? My gf loves listia and showed me so I figured id list a few electronics I have that ive upgraded too. As far as shipping is concerned, I ship via usps flat rate box within 3 working days of the listing close, or sooner. Sorry, still figuring out what listia is all about. Thanks for the tip!
