What a neat story , I never knew they were purple in color when they were alive ! I have about 50 of these & I broke a couple open to show my 5 yr old daughter the doves & now she wants to break them all open !!

i didn't know that either , the purple color when they are alive , i didn't know it was alive , i thought it was a shell like thingie lol but i found that page when my son and i found sand dollars on the beach , we broke them and put it in a shadow box with the info , its a great memory piece ......yes my son broke them all too , kids gotta love them : ]
