Very pretty! Watching these! I believe these are cherry quartz, though! The butterscotch/brown swirling does not happen in tourmaline. Many people on Ebay sell the cherry quartz as tourmaline, if that is, by chance, where you got it.

Nope. I actually purchased them from fire mountain gems about three years ago. Most of my beads I bought through there. I went nuts and had bought about $300 worth of beads....never used them, gave some away to jewelry maker friends, and what I have left I am listing here.

I learned my lesson with ebay. They are fine for findings and things, but not for gems and jewelry, you never know what you are really getting! Real .925....fake stamped .925...real gems? Dyed jade? Fire opal? Created fire opal? Things of that nature I dont leave to chance on ebay purchases.

I also used my camera phone and soft white lighting when the pics were taken at my computer desk. So that does make the pic look slightly diff as well. :0)

Okay. Is there butterscotch colored marbling in some of them? Or is that a play of light?

Ok, I am not here to argue with you. I can only say where I got them and what I was told they were. Believe me, if i still had the invoice from 3 yrs ago I would personally email it to you. :o)

If they happen to NOT be watermelon tourmaline, I do apologize. I can only say what they were sold to me as. If was a picking error from Fire mountain three years ago, there unfortunately is not much I can do. I took each item I purchased from them and rebagged them in smaller sturdier bags when I stored them away and wrote the description from the original bags on them.. I am NOT a gemologist, I am not a jewelry maker ( I tried and I sucked). I am a crocheter. FYI, the first few things I did buy from ebay I ended up giving to my sister to have her daycare kids make necklaces for their moms for mothers day three years ago. So please, feel free to message me with any more comments, but I do feel trying to defend myself and what I was told I purchased is a bit ridiculous.
