I had fish when I was a big kid, but had to give them up when we moved two years ago. I'd like to get more, but we'll be moving again within a year, so maybe later!

when you moved to clorrado from pa. we haved to give our birds away . we have been thinking about getting a dog. i still like fish. but for alot of fish i do not have he room. my fav. was the angle fish.my son does not one lake a gold fish.your glass fish are very pretty

Oh, that's sad about the birds, I'm sure you were very attached to them! I had to give away about 100 fish, one guy took them all and I think we was able to keep them. I had some that were nearly 10 years old.

We also have a few fish in pa and gave away. i didn't think we could move with animals. if it was a cat or dog that would of been different.you sure had alot of fish.

Yup, I was breeding cichlids, had lots of live plants, just had a ball with them. I had a 125 gallon and a 110 gallon tank, and a bunch of littler tanks at one time. The last one was the 125 and as soon as I knew we MIGHT be moving, I got it cleaned up and moved out. I could've moved it, I guess, the company paid for the move, but I don't think the fish could have survived the trip from DC to Iowa in 100-degree summer heat.

My dad knew a person in the pet bussiness and they gave us a large tank and lots of fish all kinds.wow. i never have a tank that big.i would never have moved all that fish. thats also how we got our first dog from the same person.. it is hard enough to move. you dont need to worry about live fish...i grew up in n.j. then moved to pa. and now co.

I grew up in New Jersey too, in Cherry Hill! Left there when I was in 7th grade though, moved to Massachusetts, first job in New Hampshire, then moved to Washington DC for 23 years, and now I'm in Iowa. We're coming back to the Mid Atlantic though, probably in another year. My husband's job is ending but we need to stay in Iowa until my youngest graduates HS in a year.

my brothers first wife lived in cherry hill. i went here several times.i went to w dc when i was in my twenties. i do not like moving alot. i hope i never have to move again.

I hear ya. We may have to move again if my husband gets another job, which will be a good thing. If he doesn't, we'll move back to our house we plan to retire in, which will also be a good thing ... but if our kids end up in a state college we might also move there to get in-state tuition for their last few years in college. So, our future is really up in the air!

i allways want to live close to my son. now he has all his services and friends here. ithe only bad thing this state is about 49th to 50 th for getting services tthe disabled. people have to wait years on waiting lists and things are being cut .we would only move iwhen my husbands job ends and we can find a better state for the disabled..
Mar 19th, 2010 at 8:35:58 AM PDT by

I would think the east or west costs large population centers would have more facilities for disable people, but the bad thing is that they are more expensive to live in as well. Start doing your research now so you have some good choices when the time comes ... you can probably find tons of info on the internet.
