this is a very large sand sifter that was found off the coast of key west on the Atlantic side. it measures 9.5" from left arm to right arm.they are related to sand dollars and sea urchins.there are about 2000 species.some live in intertidal zones while others live in deep water or tropical areas. like all starfish they can regrow a missing arm.they can also discern light and dark as they have an "eye" at the end of each arm.all listia rules apply.
