That's weird. U don't need to apply for a card to open a paypal account. It's a free account. Anyone can get one. Now it will ask you to link a card to your account if u plan to use it for purchases but that's just an option and u don't have to do that.

I dont believe you have to link it. But they will use your card or bank account on file for you to withdraw from paypal and to deposit into your bank or debit account.

Just your email address associated with paypal. Once the payment is sent you would get a notification saying u have money In your paypal account to accept.

Getting a paypal is free and easy bit also protects both parties in the end against scammers. I would love to bid on this but only way I'm sending money is if it was through paypal as I'm sure other bidders feel the same way. You would get so many more bids if you got paypal or free shipping.
