The listing, Only 799 made! 2004 Fleer Patchworks KHALIL GREENE (Padres) Rookie Card #'d 528/799 has ended.
Greene was runner up for the NL Rookie of the Year award in 2004, losing a narrow vote to Pittsburgh's Jason bay. Over the next several seasons, Greene established himself as a power threat, hitting 15 home runs per year in spacious San Diego before breaking out for 27 homers in 2007. Sadly, Greene did not respond well to the attention he received after his breakthrough power year and began to suffer from social anxiety disorders. He was traded to St. Louis in 2009 where he spent stints on the disabled list due to self-inflicted injury, and retired after the 2009 season.
