The Tesla uses a 18650 rechargeable Li-Ion battery, the one WITHOUT the "button" on the + side. You need the one that is FLAT on both + & -. Battery not included.

So now for the "not so good" news. For whatever reason, the unit registers a short if you screw on your carto/clearo more than just a few threads. I wouldn't imagine that it's a difficult fix, and the unit is possibly usable the way it is, but I would think the winner would want to have this issue corrected.
