Up for bid is an extra nice quilt top. It is made in what is called Barn Raisin' Pattern. Pretty Pansys in every color. The back ground is white. I have more tops than I will ever quilt ! The fabric is 100% cotton. Prewashed before sewing and washed after completed. That is an always for me. Nothing any worse than a fabric that would run. You will need batting and batting. The top measures 36" x 54". You can add boarders to make it as large as you would like. It is top stitched and would not need a lot of quilting. A design just on the boarders would be pretty. Please consider the work put into the tops when bidding and as always free shipping. I am always making tops and quilting at the same time so I have more tops than finished quilts. I have had these in tubs for no one to enjoy. Two daughters, one grandaughter, no intrest in sewing ! It's great to have on listia to " trade " for things you don't need for things you do! Your quilt tops are beautiful. To make a small blanket from one of these would I just really need a backing or more and would it work well to use that tie and knot (can't think of the correct term) to bind the top to the bottom rather than quilting?

that would be to cute i have used quilt tops and batting with fleese. Really cute for little ones.. You might do as my gandma and some older ones . They used yarn, a big needle. all over instead of quilting and you still see some made like that !

this is an easy and first type of quilt i learned to make along with log cabin. i use these pastterns for stash busters ! Sometimes you will want to just sew, sometimes just quilt ! i advise any one to try and always finish your first one, even of it's bad. Time improves and you may be a natural ! Start with a pillow or a cute easy tote bag and you could end up with 1st prize quilts ! There are still many I don't tackle !

Beautiful work! I am glad it is not just my daughters, 4 girls 26-12 and the only one interested in sewing is my 12 yr old. I got my love of sewing from my grandmother.
