The Great Rupert-A family headed by a faded vaudeville star move into a new apartment prior to the holidays. Thinking their holidays will go by without the usual holiday gifts and cheer because of no money, the family discovers a large amount of cash in their apartment, due to the efforts of Rupert, a squirrel living in their rafters. Having to explain to the authorities where all the money came from threatens to ruin the holidays for the family.
