SD Card 1 GB Kodak. Says "card read error. protected card" whenever I try to upload pic from it.

you may look at side of card, if the lever is down to lock position, it becomes protected card to where you cant delete photos or stuff like that, its on the left side if you are staring at the card, take a look it may be just that to why it isnt working for you.
