I'm new here so forgive me for asking what's likely a silly question in advance but why is it when I bid higher it tells me sorry you've been outbid already?..lol..

Example: The start bid is 1 but I bid 2500. The bid will only read as 2. So...if you bid 3, I have already outbid you by 2497. It will continue to say you've been outbid until you bid 2501 or higher.
