Description

The listing, (2) VINTAGE and RARE Disney MICKEY MOUSE Enameled PINS has ended.

Up for bid are two pins, still in the packaging. They are the Mickey Mouse Club and the Happy Birthday Mickey. The round one measures about ½", while the larger one is about 1".

The Mickey Mouse Club enameled push-pin type has been issued in a variety of pins, each one slightly different. It is listed as a 1970s issue, but I have not been able to pin down a definite year. I had a hard time finding any just like this one, but finally located one on a "Pin Pics" site.

On some the lettering is in white or black, the shape or positioning of the letters is different, or the ears are big. This one has Mickey, his name, and the outer edge of the pin outlined in gold (although you can't really tell on my scan, it IS gold), and is listed as a "small ears" Mickey.

The "Happy Birthday" (50th) pin with a black shadow of Mickey standing in front of a large present is from the early to mid 80s, and also hard to find! Has a regular clasp back and is enameled with gold outlining everything.

Both pins for one bid! If you collect Mickey Mouse or just Disney in general, these will be a nice addition to your collection!

are they tradable pins?

These are vintage pins, around long before the "tradable" term, but I think they both have copyright Walt Disney on the back (I had to move the packaging around to try and see, since they are still in packages.) I think the criteria for a tradable pin is that they have a Disney trademark on the back? That's as much as I can tell about these pins. Hope it helps!
