Listed is a working Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop. Please note the following: the laptop is AS IS and the hard drive is COMPLETELY wiped, which means that you're responsible for putting on an operating system. I highly recommend Ubuntu or Mint as free Linux alternatives, which are lightweight and more than capable. If you have an existing Windows volume license or extra at home, obviously that works too.

Shipping is set at a flat rate of $15, which includes padded and protected shipping in a flat rate box. If you're local to the Philadelphia area, we can discuss pickups.

People amaze me...it's a FREE laptop you pay shipping so it cost you $15. BIG DEAL GO BUY A USED LAPTOP FOR $15 BUCKS! The guy doesn't want to install an OS on it and that makes sense to me. Because there is currently no operating system on the hard drive, and I am not responsible if the winning bidder cannot successfully put one on, or if any of the peripherals fail within any amount of time. In this case, bidder assumes all responsibility for the laptop.

Would take you about an hour to install Linux on it yourself and sell it as a working computer with original pictures showing it working.

lol no just install the new one over it takes the same time 30mins-1hour and you cant wipe any computer without a magnet a diffrent hard drive or a virus

Does this come with wireless connectivity or would you have to buy a USB wireless stick for it I think I had one like this before but it was my grandmothers and was so old it didn't even have wireless on it yet until we put our USB wireless stick on it

You should include a flash drive with an operating system on it. One operating system you can use is Linux ubuntu. Download Unetbootin. Plug in the USB drive the open the program select a operating system from the list and then click download you can give away the flash drive with the computer so in case the person needs an operating system you could give them the flash drive with Linux ubuntu on it
