Hello, and thank you for looking at our auction. We are pleased to offer this Vintage Blue Bird Shoes box full of Vintage Patchwork Quilt Squares for your consideration. There are approximately 47 squares already sewn together consisting of 9 smaller squares of various and random material. The small squares are approximately 2" x 2" thus making the large squares approximately 6" x 6". That is a lot of the work already accomplished. There are quite a few of the small squares already cut and there is a 2"x 2" piece of cardboard which was used as a template. This shoe box and contents came from a local estate liquidation. The shoe box would likely date in the forties or fifties and is in very nice condition although someone wrote PIPES on both ends of the lid. It measures approximately 7" x 4 & 1/2" x 2 & 3/4". The side of the box has a pull-up handle inside.
