Well these days kids are so smart with gadgets the age could range anywhere from 3-14. I babysit a little girl who's 3, and she can work my iPhone better than me. ;) and kids are so clumsy and sometimes messy up
Into the teens that it's great for the older kids too because it's kid proof ;) I'm sure it would be perfect for your niece ;)
