are these the size of a regular football or more toy size?

They are not regulation size footballs. Meant as a toy for a child's smaller hands. It's kind of hard to measure a football but I gave it my best shot & came up with approximately an 11" length from the tips & has an 18" circumference around the fattest part of the ball. I hope that helped lol
