Description: Fittingly known as the ‘Royalty of the Garden’, these flowering shrubs herald the growing season creating an unequalled display with their masses of showy blooms in a range of colors with large pronounced stamens in clusters up to ten inches wide. Bloom period begins in early May even before their leaves begin to unfurl. Medium to dark green leaves are oval but broader towards the short-pointed tip, 3-5 inches in length and turn bright yellow to orange or red in fall.
