Description

The listing, 2 Crown of Thorns cuttings has ended.

These have been trimmed from the mother plant, so they will be "calloused" and ready to start rooting by the time you received them.

The color of their flower is yellow.

They do have thorns that look deadly but if you pick them up softly they do not stick into your fingers.

They will be shipped in a bubble envelope and I will add an extra layer of bubble just to be safe.

If you have any question feel free to ask.

No buyers remorse~~will not refund credits.

Will ship to verified address only--all Listia rules apply

Free Shipping (USA only)/Local pick up available

As far as starting these, I don't think they are difficult. Use whatever soil medium you like just make sure it drains quickly. I don't know if these will root successfully in water. Never tried it. I use soil.

I push the cutting gently about 1/4 inch into the soil and prop it up if I have to. I like to use stones. Don't over water. Being a succulent, these store water in their stems. Keep barely moist until you see signs of growth.

I root just about everything the same way. You should do well. Most fatalities occur when you water too much. Good Luck! Fanned!

I am sure the yellow flowers are just as beautiful, as the one that my grandmother had many moons ago, that had red flowers on it. I fanned you and plan on bidding as well... Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful plant.

Thanks Kathy~~if she had a red crown of thorns then you are already familiar with growing the plant. This one has creamy yellow flowers that are just as beautiful. I would also love to have a pink and a white. Have to keep my eyes open!!

I will also keep my eyes open for you and I for those as well. I am sure that if all put in one pot they would make a beautiful arrangement. Grandma's was already potted and growing from what i recall, that was way back before my teen years and I am now in my 50's. So it was a few moons ago, as my hubby would say! Darn Native American he is anyways. LOL

Yes I think that would be beautiful as well. My "mommy" plant is pretty leggy. It was given to my daughter who gave it to me and I let it grow for 1 year to let it get used to how I do things. Now it is time to start trimming back. I have 5 pairs of cuttings to auction from this plant. Then I will let it grow on my deck during the summer and maybe next autumn I will auction another 5 pairs of cuttings!!! Thank you.

Euphorbia milii is a beautiful plant and will grow in as large as you let it and provide you with all of your own cuttings in the years to come. Great auction. Thanks!

Oh I know. I really love Crown of Thorns. This fall I am sure I will be able to cut more. As it is now, I will have 5 auctions of 2 cuttings each. Didn't want to take too much more off at one time.~~~Rosie

Welcome to Listia! Took me awhile to get used to it also. Will be watching for the other colors of Euphorbia!!! I need white, red, pink and green Crown of thorns, by the way I didn't know they had green flowers. Will google that! Thanks for watching! Will fan you!~~~Rosie

Thanks Rosie. The green ones are really unique looking. There are many other species of euphorbia, all very different looking from each other. Careful of the white sap, it can be poisonous. Just wear gloves when cutting and run water over the cut to stop the sap. Cheers! -Nathan

Ooohhh yeah, I have reactions to different saps (and I don't mean just poison ivy etc.) like sedum and other common plants!! I am soooo careful~~~Rosie
