i have dug some up they have transplant shock but the canes are still strong and thats what you want i just watered them in a pot when i send them the tops are ready for harvest just cut the tops off and hang upside down to dry out store in a airtight container and enjoy make sure you plant them in a semi sunny spot or partly shade spot till they recover my plant's are hardy but they do go into shock when being shipped and i do send replacement's just encase they don't make it i'm on a fixed income so it takes some time to send replacement to you but you will get them:)

they love lots of water in the hot month's too.and if you have lots of birds they love fennel.
