You should always start out on listing by selling stuff that you are willing to let go at a low price. Then after your first bid is completed and the winner received the item you can list a higher priced item and listing will let you choose the amount you want to start the bid at. But don't worry, I did the same thing when I first started, I only ended up getting 50 credits for my pricey jewelry. After that it gets better!
