FREE: Vintage Silver Plated Chafing Dish

This is a silverplate Chafing Dish with Lid, it's very old but I don't know how old. It's sliverplated and copper but I don't know if that's the original way it's suppose to look or if it has been overcleaned. I'm almost sure the Bottom was cleaned too much because it's not all copper under there just in spots. It measures 13 1/2 tall 20 inches wide and 3 deep. Inside the top is a # 36 and the bottom of the pan with the handle connected has W A with a COMPASS in between the W and the A. It also has ENGLAND 8887 and the handle has a # 11 on rim.There is a total of 4 pieces, it would be 5 IF I had the little burner for the bottom. This is heavy and of course needs a big box, AND since it Cannot be dismantled Please don't ask if it can go in a flat rate box...look at the measurements first. It's also very heavy.

I did research and found out that the initailas stand for WILLIAM ADAMS INC.Birmingham and New York.

Founded in 1865 by William Adams. Much of its production was exported, especially to the United States. Later the business was purchased by Henry Jenkins & Sons Ltd. Trademarks were registered in the U.S. in 1932 and 1950.


Mail outs are on Mondays and Fridays now because the gas is getting to be too much to mail out as soon as I get payment like I was doing. I don't like this because I like to mail out items when I get the payment because it's what I expect. So I apologize in advance.
