The listing, Chile Manzano - Hot! has ended.
Manzano chiles are relatives of the hot & spicy South American rocoto pepper. Its name translates to "apple" - so named because it looks like an apple and because it has a fruity, apple-like flavor. It is also known as Chile Peron, Chile Caballo, and Chile Ciruelo.
A chile much used in Mexico. They are most often used in their fresh form because the pods are so thick that they are difficult to dry. They are great for making hot salsas.
The Manzano pepper generally rates between 12,000 and 30,000 Scoville units on the Scoville heat index - pretty hot, but not death-defying!
Note that this pepper is a member of the capsicum pubescens species rather than the far more common capsicum annuum species. It is resistant to low temperatures and is typically grown at high altitudes. It turns to a yellow-orange color when reaching maturity.
This auction is for 12 freshly harvested seeds (and yes, the peppers were thick, juicy, & a ripe red-orange - see 3rd picture!)
