The listing, 5 Blue Bird Hibiscus (Rose of Sharon) Seeds from 2010 has ended.
This upright, deciduous shrub is an old-time favorite found in informal borders and hedges. Growing to a height of 10 feet tall and 6 feet wide, this shrub is loved primarily for its large, to 3 inches wide, funnel-shaped blooms that resemble those of the tropical hibiscus, yet not as flashy. Leaves are diamond-shaped, dark green, slightly palmate and toothed. 'Blue Bird' bears brilliant blue flowers with dark red centers from late summer until mid-fall. Soil should be well-drained neutral to slightly alkaline and sun should be full, though partial shade is tolerated. This plant really requires no pruning, unless you need to remove a dead or damaged branch. Native from China to India.
