Also called "Inch Plant" because you can propogate it with only an inch of the stem.

I have grown this accidently from small pieces swept off my porch after repotting or that just fell from hanging pots. No planting required - - roots emerged and anchored themselves.

This is a terrific gift plant because - - similar to Purple Queen wandering jew - - it really is as simple to propogate from cuttings as (1) make soil wet, (2) stick the base end in it, and (3) moisten soil whenever dry. Usually just 3-4 weeks until well rooted.

Know somebody who believes s/he has a black thumb but envies those who can grow plants? Make this a gift plant to such folk. It makes a great hanging basket, can be a terrific houseplant anyplace with bright light, and it can give ground cover with time. But more than a gift of a lovely foliage plant, you'll also be giving the gift of confidence. That black-thumbed person will be no more!

Unless this plant is kept without any watering at all - - it thrives on misting alone for long periods - - this plant will not croak.

If you do treat it well, by regular watering and fertilizing monthly during spring & summer, giving its roots good soil, it might reward you with tiny flowers of an exquisite blue.
