This is a ten hole, 20 note (hence the name) harmonica in diatonic scale. Box says special 20, but the harmonica looks like a Pro 20. They are NOT the same thing. The Pro 20 has a deeper, bassier sound. So, is this a Special 20, or a Pro 20?
I am sorry. My musician husband passed away and I have some small things to list. I do not claim to know everything about this Harmonica. It was in this box so I did not know they were different. I am selling the harmonica, not the box. I will send it in the box for safekeeping. I posted photographs of the harmonica so people could see it for themselves. It says Pro Harp on it. So I really don't know the difference but I would say it is a PRO 20. You seem to know more about this than I do, and I apologize for any confusion. Thank you.
I wasn't confused. Just curious if you might have the harmonica that goes with the box? Look around, it might be somewhere. Probably in a kit with several. It has a more bluesy sound so a lot of musicians like them better for some things. The Pro 20's usually come in a set. In fact, to get the A, you pretty much have to buy a set. Sorry about you losing your hubby. I lost my wife a few years ago, I know how it feels. Let me know when you post more musical stuff, if nothing else, I can help you figure out exactly what you've got. Got any guitars? I pay cash for beat up old guitars. I actually don't want them in great shape with the accompanying price. I love to fix them up myself,so long as they're not too far gone, some just aren't salvageable, but are still worth something for parts.
