The listing, Autism Awareness Necklace has ended.
Up for grabs is a necklace that represents something very near and dear to my heart. This necklace was purchased by me at The Autism Site. They help raise awareness, and find funding for therapy for children and families living with Autism. Occasionally I purchase items from them because each purchase helps fund that therapy. I have 2 boys on the Autism Spectrum, one, with full Autism, who successfully graduated high school in 2013 and moved out. The other is 8, he has PDD-NOS, and every day brings new challenges, but also, new growth, and so many opportunities for me to simply love my child for all his quirkiness (some days are better than others, but we get through them!). This necklace, with its multi colored puzzle pieces represents those on the spectrum. Each child, even though they share similarities that warrant an ASD diagnosis, is unique and when you know 1 child with Autism, you know 1 child with Autism. I am offering this to you because I only wear one necklace, and it never comes off. The chain is 18 inches long with an extender, and i do not know what the metal is.
