LET'S HAVE SOME FUN!!! #2

Okay... so I decided to open one up to prove to you guys that YUP!!! I AM THAT GOOD! (see last pic)
I picked out like 8-12 of the Geode, and I am SO good, I am positively, sure (well almost) that there has to be some sort of crystal in every one of them!! (see all pics)
The winner of this auction will receive the the Blue sea glass, the clear white crystal and the purple small Agate, but then the fun starts! The winner gets to open their own Geode to find out what is in there! No, I did not put something in there, nor did I peek...your guess is as good as mine as to what could be hiding inside that rock! These were all found near the Utah, Nevada border, so it could be a ton of different gemstones!

So I will have about 8 or 10 of this kind of auction, each one with a new Geode a new crystal, a new piece of sea glass and a new little agate, so any way you look at it, it's a WIN, WIN, WIN, WIN SITUATION!!!! So keep watching for the next one~! I'll send the winners instructions on opening their stones....

BID BIG, YOU COULD HAVE A DIAMOND! WHO KNOWS? FREE SHIPPING, HANDLING AND TRACKING...YOU PAY NOTHING!!!!!

READY..... SET..... BID!!!!!!!!!

Are these easy to crack? Chalcedony ones are nearly impossible.

I gave them a little start... so you probably need a hammer and chisel, or screwdriver...maybe even a nut or crab cracker would work...sometimes it's great to throw them in a sock and smack the crap out of the cement with them....great stress reliever!!!!! LOL! xoxoxo

Actually you can find diamonds in certain geodes, they are keokuk geodes. They mostly contain smoky dew drop diamonds. They are quite rare, but gorgeous to look at. Most of the diamonds found in geodes are around a 1/3 to a 1/4 ct in weight. Sometimes a 1/2 to a whole carat diamond can be found. The largest I believe was a 125 carat diamond, although not as valuable as a mined diamond, a 1/4 to a 1/2 carat will fetch around $300 to $500 depending on the three C's. I hope that helped anyone who was wanting to know about geode diamonds.

There have been 17 different minerals identified in Keokuk geodes. The most common minerals are: Quartz, Chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz), Calcite, and Pyrite. You may occasionally find: Sphalerite, Aragonite, Hematite, Kaolinite, Dolomite, Ankerite, or Limonite (iron staining). You could find: Barite, Millerite, Malachite, or Selenite. And if you're lucky, you may find one of these two: bipyramidal quartz or Stilpnosiderite. Bipyramidal quartz is what is found in the rare diamond dewdrop geodes and stilpnosiderite is the mineral responsible for the formation of the highly prized, iridescent brown calcite geodes.

Yu can also go diamond searching in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. There is a place there where they are still finding all grades and all sizes of diamonds. You pay to dig in their field and you keep whatever you find. I love the geodes! I'll start saving my credits so I can bid! F&W

took my niece to Franklin, NC and went to the emerald mines there. We had a ball! If anyone with kids lives in the East they should spend a day there on vacation. Even the older people love it. Some mines are "salted" and some are not but most have a bucket for the kids with either large crystals, emeralds, quartz, or arrow heads or fossils. Kids love sleuthing. What fun!!
I found a 4 ct emerald and had a ring made. I had fun too.

OOMG, that would be incredible!!!!!! How FUN! I was just outside taking pictures of my collections of rocks, etc and had about 100 people stop to look, most from my neighborhood, but then some of them came and said they heard I was having a sale on gem stones! LOL!
